Tran Brown Selected as WBCA JUCO All-American

GOODLAND, KS- Northwest Kansas Technical college Sophomore Tran Brown has been named the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Juco All-American, the WBCA announced this award in their press release on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.

Tran, a sophomore from Jacksonville, FL., led the Lady Falcons in scoring with 18.6 points per game and 4.1 rebounds per game. 

"Success is not always about greatness, it's about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success and greatness will soon come afterward. My plan B is just another way to make my plan A work. I am truly honored and appreciative to be recognized as an All-American." 

Brown is NWKTC first player in history to receive NJCAA National Player of the Week, WBCA All-American Honorable Mention, Most 3 pointers in a single game (9), Most 3 pointers made in a single season (105), Most made 3 pointers in career (179), Single-game scoring record (43) points, Single-season scoring record (585) and All-time program scoring leader. 

Coach Christian stated "Tran Brown came to Northwest Tech with a mission and as a coach, seeing a kid with that level of determination and drive, it was refreshing. She's worked her butt off these last two years and she's so deserving of all the recognition she's receiving. Her future is so bright."
